Meet Darlene Ellison
Hi, friend! Welcome to a community that is, well, evolving.
My name is Darlene Ellison and life thus far has been quite a ride.
Just like all of us, I’ve had the good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve laughed until I peed in my pants and I’ve cried until I ran out of tears and feared the smile muscles in my face would never work again.
Welcome to Evolution of SHE
Life is complicated. Life is noisy. Life is chaotic.
Life is beautiful. Life is fun. Life is a series of moments that sometimes link to moments past and future, yet sometimes they stand alone.
Life makes me smile, sometimes while fighting back the tears; sometimes in hysterical laughter.

Happy New Year! I’ve now had almost two weeks to truly ponder what 2019 promises and what my personal and professional resolutions might be. Yes, it has taken me two weeks to sit down and put my words on paper. […]

I love to read. But, like many of you who juggle kids or elderly parents or a full-time job or starting a new business (and the list goes on), it is hard for me to find the time to quietly […]
Do You Know How to Thread Your Needle?
I had a wonderful “catch up” visit with a long-time friend and WIB (Women in Business) member this past week. As we caught each other up on our kids’ ages and stages, this very talented and driven single mom asked […]

2018 is the Year of the Miracle…Believe Me, They Are All Around You
A diagnosis of cancer can bring our evolution here on this earth to a screeching halt, right? Not so fast, my friends. Sometimes, the darkness of the diagnosis brings a deepening sense of “all things SHE” and a brightness that […]

As the Storms Move In, We Should ALL Adjust Our Sails – Permanently
As I sit here writing this week, I am shaken by the tragedy that has presented itself in our world. In just 2 weeks’ time, I have watched two dear friends bury a parent, I have donated diapers and a […]

So Much Noise In My Head…It’s Time to Play “Keep or Throw”
Not sure if you noticed or not, but I failed to get a blog post out last Sunday. I assure you, it was not for a lack of material from the week’s activities. Actually, it was too much material. So […]

I Am Not Wonder Woman…Who Knew?
Boy, has it been a week! I am pretty sure that, somehow, I managed to cram three weeks into one. And along the way, I was happy, peaceful, optimistic and relaxed, right? Ha! (insert eyeroll from my husband as he […]

Let’s Stop Using Hushed Voices When We Talk About It… My Thoughts on Depression

It’s Time to Have the “Perspective Talk”
